If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I am a Toronto real estate agent with 14 years of experience and I have been pumping out a video series to help educate my viewers about the nuances of navigating today’s real estate market. My goal is also to give my clients and potential clients a better idea of who I am as a person and not just an agent. I figured my blog would be a great place to upload these videos and share my opinions on real estate and life in general. In today’s video, I discuss why I love Toronto. I hope you enjoy it!
So you want to know what I love about Toronto? I love its growth! I love looking at the East Don lands and thinking about what it’s going to look like in 15 years when all of the development is done. See you see construction and I see improvement. You see crowds and lines and I see collective consciousness and like-mindedness.
I love Toronto for its food! Where else can you get a Naan and Kebab, Pad See Ew and Bruschetta all in one strip? I love the Toronto Blue Jays. I love that everyone else hates us. I love that our mayors have had international drama problems. I love SickKids Hospital. I love Handlan’s Island and that we have a nude beach there. I like that there are walks of people from all over the country coming here to make a new life, even though they are coming from warm climates and they come to our cold winters and they own it, they love it. They are so happy to be here and we are so happy to have them. I just love that our country is always growing. It isn’t what it’s going to be yet and it definitely isn’t what it was before. Which is a good thing! Honestly!
So there you have it? I could certainly have a bigger house if I moved outside of the city and a slower-paced life; but that wouldn’t be me. My career has been built as a Toronto real estate agent and now my partner and I are working to build our family and life in Toronto…and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
