Most overlooked neighborhoods in Toronto

Dundas West is one of the most overlooked neighborhoods in Toronto; unlike West Queen West or St. Lawrence Market. Dundas West (DU) is more focused on satisfying its locals than tourists. This means fewer crowded areas anywhere you try to sit down for lunch or dinner.

If you do find yourself in the area and are interested in visiting some of the district favourites, here are a few to start with.

To start any day right you first need a nice cup of coffee in the morning and something sweet to go with it. Ella’s Uncle and Eagles Nest are both very unique cafes paired with unique blends of coffee. Ella’s Uncle has a widespread assortment of sweets and classic gourmet selection of beans to choose from. At Eagles Nest you can stop in for a coffee and/or ice cream. You can enjoy these treats separate or together! That’s right it’s called affogato, it’s one of their specialties. A shot of espresso and scoop of ice cream (many flavours to choose from) will let you feel like you’re in a European café!!

Now that we have our shopping addiction handled, lets tend to our taste buds shall we?! If you’re feeling Italian make sure to visit Chef Greg Harding’s ‘Campagnolo’ or Levy and Kai Lee’s ‘Bent’, their mother’s maiden name – for awesome Asian Fusion.

When enjoying the beautiful weather this summer don’t forget about your furry, four legged friends. Bring them along for some treats from The Dog Bowl. After, end your day resting under the shade at Trinity Bellwood Park. Make sure to check out this uncharted neighborhood while the sun still shines! I may just see you there!!
